Understanding that Mizuno does not have any trail shoes in the U.S. market, I wanted to extend their product line.

Action: Trail runners are running for short or long periods of time, the trail can increase or decrease in elevation, and the terrain surfaces can change.
Problem: Feet swelling, toes being slammed against the end of the shoes while running downhill, and slipping or rolling ankles from the terrain.
Solution: A secured lacing system for the foot, a rock plate for protection from the harsh terrain, and increase lateral and medial support for the foot when in the shoe.
Innovation: How can I continue the Mizuno Wave technology, but use it in a new way?
